This brief introduction will give you an overview of the branch, how we train divers, the qualifications that can be gained and the type of diving undertaken.

We are an active dive club based in the north of Sheffield, in the village of Chapeltown, only two minutes drive from Junction 35 of the M1.

The club is run by a voluntary committee elected each year at the AGM in October It consists of a Diving Officer, Chairman, Secretary, Membership Secretary, Welfare Officer, Training Officer, Equipment Officer and Social Secretary.

Week and weekend dive trips are organised throught the dive season. Club trips are also organised to places such as Gozo, Red Sea, Elba and the Isle of Man.

To dive with the club you must be a member of the BSAC however, the club does welcome divers from any other diving organisation.

In addition to the dive trips the club also organises a number of social functions and have included such activities as Go Karting, a night at the dogs and have an annual Race night as well as a Christmas dinner.

Regular Try Dives are held (1st Friday of the month) for members of the public to experience the thrill of being able to swim and stay underwater. Futher details can be obtained from the Try Dive page.
